Our van down by the river

This is Maggie our truck. Its a 1987 Iveco Magirus 150. 4 wheel drive comes in handy and the high clearance means we can go where other motorhomes cannot.

Things we are passionate about

Mum, liz and abi are talking today about things we are passionate about.

Other men enjoy sport watching - not ours. Other women enjoy make-up and having nice clean houses - not me. Other girls enjoy flirting - not our girls. Most people seem to like being normal and fitting in - not us.

Here are some things that make our hearts go pitter patter.

suitcases, wooden boxes, wood stoves, tents, camping, RVs, food rhythms, hammocks, cooking at home, water parks, weird international toilets, creative expression, small pleasures, making a home in unusual places, travel, new experiences, weird food, living a life of abandon to follow God where we see Him leading us, mud fights, making new friends, experiencing new cultures, water fights, laughing, the art of joke telling, tipis, parties - Just plain ol living life instead of letting it pass us by.

We are not a very normal family. I guess some might say we need to grow up a bit. We are having a great time tho and living life our way.

Meet Hannah

I am 10 years old. I can't wait to get on the road but i am going to miss my friends especially Freya and I know she will miss me, plus she told me she is going to be lonely without me. I hope I can keep in touch with her and my class.I don't remember being on the road before but I think fixing up a truck is an awesome idea.

Hello,
Well i am Abigail and I am 13 years old. I like to do stuff that is unexpected such as pier jumping, mud fights and water fights in the winter etc. I like to cook and play with my friends. I love animals, bright colours and good music. I remember some of being on the road before and i can't wait until we get on the road again.

   

On the road again

You have probably heard the rumours. The Jones are going on the road again. After 4 years of "playing house" in idyllic Orkney we are ready to hit the road again. When? We will take our first trip in January for a month or 2 and after several more month or 2 trips we hope to be full time on the road by the end of next year. Yeah!
