that's interesting - I LOOOOVE Scotland - but when ever I am up there it just feels so spiritually dry! It really saddens me as I'm 3/4 Scots and would love to live there.

he didnt expound on that but the Covenanters came to mind - as did the Scotish soldiers.
Maybe the dark side to bravery and willingness to suffer is a refusal for assistance from others, and God?
