Lambeth Conference
Lambeth. Its 20 weeks away. 800 bishops are expected to be there. Some of us are talking about a Fringe Event that informs and celebrates the emerging church movements in the Anglican communion. Others are talking about a pilgrimage walk to Canterbury to coincide with Lambeth. Let me know if you are interested in either.
"The Conference this year has two key points of focus: strengthening the sense of a shared Anglican identity among the bishops from around the world, and helping to equip bishops for the role they increasingly have as leaders in mission, involved in a whole variety of ways in helping the Church grow. " Archbishop Rowan Williams at Lambeth Launch

Interesting link. Being raised in a Pentecostal tradition, I don't know a whole lot about clerical wear.

I just finished a paper on the relevance of Rowan Williams's theology for the emerging church movement. I would be thrilled to have anyone here interact with it. My paper is posted at my blog post: The missional ecclesiology of Rowan Williams.
