Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Blogging for $$$$$$ (can you count to 6 figures?):

For some reason, I always thought a 6-figure sum was in the millions... but I realise now it's "merely" in the hundreds of thousands.

Yours and Darren's blogs are two I make a point of keeping up with - so I guess I have to thank you for inspiring Darren to take it up in the first place :)

Without disparaging Darren in any way, the only way to make money on a blog is to have thousands/millions of readers, and ones who are willing to click on all the links/ads that appear on such blogs. Without the readership, no one makes any real money from blogging. (At least not from the advertising side of things.)
And to get the readership you have to have a topic that lots of people are interested in. Darren happens to have hit upon at least two/three of those.

yeah but maybe making a tiny bit of money might be a big help to many, esp. those who do not live in the First World. i know Darren helped a couple of young social entrepreneurs in India get set up with blogging and they only needed to make a tiny amount through Google ads to meet their needs and get going.

That has potential.

Thanks...

Andrew,
Awsome post.
6 figures is incredible amount.
I enjoy your blog.
Keep up the great work brother.

To be fair to Darren, he has done a lot of work for his six figure salary. How many blogs is he keeping updated? I barely manage to find things to talk about on two. For all the work he has put in, six figures is not so great a salary IMO.

Having said that, I've a bit of a problem with the notion of blogs that only exist to tell other people how to make money on blogs. There are a lot of people out there selling snake-oil instant solutions to getting rich online (not criticising Darren, just observing).

Also Andrew, I bet you've not made much money online, mainly because you don't seem to be trying to make money online... that isn't your primary focus to blogging.

I heard of your blog through the interview. It was cool to learn that Darren who I follow on ProBlogger started with a blog on faith.
